The coveted award, presented to BKP’s Group Managing Director NK Tong by Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Minister of Finance II, was a fitting acknowledgement of BKP’s commitment towards innovative branding.

Tong said BKP’s branding was heavily focused on caring for its customers and when their functional and lifestyle needs are met, they became brand ambassadors for the company and the relationship eventually developed into a lasting bond.

Tong also said BKP sought strategic alliances with world-class brands such as BOSCH, Swarovski, Versace and Lazarre Diamonds with the sole aim of enhancing the value of its customers’ properties.

BKP was the only property development company to be conferred The BrandLaureate Award, covering brand strategy, culture, integrated brand communication, equity and performance/profitability.

The BrandLaureate Award honours the best of brands from SMEs that have displayed best practices in branding and had met the stringent selection criteria of the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF), dedicated towards the promotion and improvement of branding standards in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific.

The Award is the only Brand Award endorsed by His Royal Highness DYMM Yang di Pertuan Agung, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.
