It happened in September when the Verve® Suite fever was heating up. The Japanese boarded a taxi from his hotel in downtown Kuala Lumpur and wanted to buy a home after hearing about the Malaysia My Second Home Programme. He told taxi driver Raymond Wong Tuck On to take him to a few projects.

Wong who hailed from KL said “I took him to visit several projects within the Klang Valley and landed up at the Pavilions of Bukit Kiara towards the afternoon”. “Thereafter I took him to two more other projects but throughout the journey he kept on talking about the Verve® Suites non stop. He was so impressed with the show unit, the location and the way he was served at the Pavilions of Bukit Kiara that is seems to me that he was just not interested in the rest”.

Taking note of his interest, Wong took the trouble to call up the BKP sales office and encouraged the sales staff to follow up closely with the Japanese customer. This has resulted in the sale when the customer finally signed the sales and purchase agreement one month later.

In recognizing the effort of taxi driver Wong, BKP’s Group Managing Director NK Tong later presented a letter of appreciation and a small memento to Wong at the Pavilions of Bukit Kiara recently.

NK said: “This small token is a gesture of our appreciation to someone who goes the extra mile beyond the normal course of their duty. To us, Wong has really gone the extra mile and such exemplary conduct deserves to be recognized and rewarded”. Well done Wong, Malaysia needs more taxi drivers like you.
