Rumah Victory Elderly Home was totally transformed after the ‘makeover’ session by Bukit Kiara Properties (BKP). Geared withgloves, brooms, cleaning tools and detergents, BKP team members rolled up their sleeves and spent half a day to spruce up the home located in Old Klang Road recently.

“We really appreciate BKP’s effort. This is the most thorough cleaning session that we have ever experienced. The condition of our home is greatly improved. It is also heartening to see the whole BKP team including the senior management as well as their business associates springing into action to demonstrate their caring part to the senior citizens,” said the guardian of Rumah Victory, Mr Loi Bih Shyong.

Close to 30 team members from the niche property development company sprang into action with their cleaning tools when they reached Rumah Victory early in the morning. The team members were divided into groups to take charge of different tasks including cleaning the living hall, washing toilets, refurbishing the dry and wet kitchen, installing new shelves, and re-organising the front and back yard.

BKP also contributed a total of RM4,500 which was spent to purchase items such as kitchen cabinets, shelves and cleaning tools, and to carry out some other refurbishment works.

“This home improvement programme is part of our ‘Caring Hands’ initiatives to reach out to the community. We hope to spread cheer to more people by contributing our time and effort to make a difference to those in need of our help,”said BKP’s Group Managing Director, NK Tong.

“We are glad that some of our business associates took the effort to participate in this charity event after they heard of the initiative from our team members. They sponsored materials and extended their skilled workers to help us in creating a comfortable home for the senior citizens. We thank them for their generosity and for embracing our BKP’s core value of Caring,” he added.

After the cleaning session, BKP team members arranged lunch and spent quality time chatting with the residents. The effort spent on home improvement was worthwhile as the happiness and satisfaction were shown on the faces of the residents when they saw their home being rejuvenated and refreshed.

BKP’s business associates who contributed to the home improvement initiative included Jotun (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Yew Huat (M) Machine Joinery Sdn Bhd, Powerlite M&E Sdn Bhd, Barisan Performa Sdn Bhd, Mako Sakyata Engineering Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Pumpro Engineering Sdn Bhd, Layout Sdn Bhd and Cementaid Sdn Bhd.
