Colourful paper lanterns were seen bobbing about in the hands of more than hundred guests of various nationalities during a lantern parade in conjunction with BKP’s Annual Mooncake Celebration.

The children from Garden International School, Mont’Kiara International School and kindergartens as well as BKP homeowners were invited by BKP to join the company to celebrate this auspicious festival under the bright moon and the warm glow of lanterns.

The Mooncake Celebration is one of BKP’s annual community service activities. It aims at spreading joy to the residents staying at Hijauan Kiara and VERVE® Suites as well as the community in Mont’Kiara.

“We are glad to see guests from various nationalities join us tonight to celebrate this traditional Chinese festival. Since 2005, we have been organising mooncake celebrations in our sales gallery in Mont’Kiara. It is our way of sharing the Malaysia culture with our residents as well as the international community,” said BKP’s Group Managing Director, NK Tong.

Guests were served with Malaysian-style buffet dinner together with other delicacies such as mooncakes, ‘ling kok’, pomeloes and baby yams. Expatriate guests were especially amazed to see and taste the different delicacies which are normally eaten during the mooncake festival.

Making the occasion a night of fun was a hilarious performance by Cha-Cha the Clown, whose spontaneous jokes had the children and adults in stitches. In addition, the adults had a test of strength during the pomelo peeling competition while children expressed their creativity by coloring the lanterns of their choice.

All children are ready and prepared for a lantern parade around Mont'Kiara. Cha-cha the clown leading the parade.
