The completed VERVE® Suites Vibe Tower has set yet another quality benchmark when it broke the CONQUAS (Construction Quality Assessment System) score record recently. It has obtained a score of 82.2, the highest ever score for a high-rise residential project in Malaysia.  This achievement represents the company’s commitment to build quality homes for its customers.

“Although CONQUAS assessment is not a requirement to be fulfilled by Malaysia’s developers, we believe that it is important for our projects to undergo this international quality assessment initiated by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA). After all, quality workmanship of a project is important as it enhances the value of the properties,” said BKP’s Group Managing Director, NK Tong.

“In line with BKP’s core value of Quality, those involved in construction work, including site supervisors, contractors and consultants are sent to attend CONQUAS training to understand the quality aspects of construction every year. In addition, we have also implemented a CONQUAS reward scheme to reward our contractors who complete their works ahead of schedule,” he added.

Early this year, BKP paid out over RM300,000 as special bonuses to its contractors for meeting the high quality standards required of VERVE® Suites Viva Tower (first phase). This special bonus was initiated by BKP at the company’s inception in 2000 to promote quality workmanship.

CONQUAS was introduced by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA) in 1989. It serves as a respected benchmark assessment system to measure workmanship quality in completed buildings in Singapore and around the region.  Today, CONQUAS is widely recognized and accepted internationally as a benchmarking tool for construction quality. Indeed, projects in countries like the UK and Hong Kong have successfully adopted CONQUAS for their construction industries.
